Santa Rosa Water strives to protect public health and the environment by collecting and treating wastewater, recycling high quality water and promoting pollution prevention through compliance with all applicable local, state and federal rules, regulations and permit requirements.
In 2013, the North Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board issued a five-year National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit, Waste Discharge Requirements and Master Reclamation Permit for surface water discharges and recycled water use to the City of Santa Rosa (NPDES Permit). Through compliance provisions within the NPDES Permit, SRW operates wastewater treatment, storage, disposal and reclamation facilities, employing state of the art, advanced tertiary treatment facilities and producing high quality recycled water that is beneficially re-used in cutting-edge water reclamation projects.
NPDES Permit's Annual Report
The NPDES Permit's Annual Report provides an Annual Compliance Summary as well as Recycled Water, Pretreatment Program, and Sludge Handling and Disposal (Biosolids) Activity Reports.
In addition, the California Integrated Water Quality System database provides access to a variety of reports related to the Santa Rosa Water Reuse Plant’s monitoring data and compliance reporting. Electronic Self-Monitoring Reports (eSMR) include analytical and calculated data as required.
