Arts and Culture programming for the City of Santa Rosa includes many exciting possibilities for artists and community members alike.  Artists are encouraged to apply for numerous exhibition opportunites through the Art Exhibition Program, the National Arts Program, Art in Public Places Projects, and the Arts District...Downtown Santa Rosa.  The community is invited to participate in art receptions, musical and theatrical performances, festivals and other events. The creation and appreciation of many art forms, as well as the participation in creative events is what we promote

The Santa Rosa Recreation and Parks Department operates and maintains 57 parks totaling over 514 Acres, and we're growing all the time! We have a train and carousel, skatepark, boating and sailing, sports fields, playgrounds, and more!

Come beat the heat! The City of Santa Rosa Recreation and Parks Department operates two year-round swim centers: Ridgway Swim Center and Finley Aquatic Complex.

Transportation
One of the main attractions for people who live in or visit Santa Rosa is its convenient location. Highways 101 and 12 provide easy access to regional destinations, while Santa Rosa’s Public Works Department maintains about 120 miles of roads within our city limits. 
 

With miles of beautiful creek side paths, on-street bike paths and a vibrant downtown area with convenient bike parking, biking and walking around are great ways to enjoy the wonderful amenities Santa Rosa has to offer.
