As in previous years Santa Rosa has two goals regarding the Amgen Tour of California:
- Bring the Amgen Tour of California BACK TO SANTA ROSA in 2011 and beyond
- Raise at least $175,000 in committed and pledged sponsorship funds to cover the cost of the event between the time the proposal is submitted and the contract with AEG is signed
Through the wonderful generosity of our area businesses and cycling-enthused community we are well on our way to meeting that fundraising goal! Proof of our dedication to the Tour and proof that Santa Rosa will do whatever it takes to remain a committed host city.
The following is an overview of our 2010 Revenues and Expenses, which we anticipate to be similar in 2011. As noted in this proposal’s introduction, we have not only balanced our Tour budget every year, but have been innovative in doing so while also making the most of this gift you have given us by increasing our long-term economic impacts.
