2011 Amgen Tour of California Proposal
Race Operations

Committed?  Yes!  Capable?  Of course!

The City of Santa Rosa, County of Sonoma, Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce, and indeed the entire community wants the race back.  Time and again we have proven that we have the ability and understanding to provide the level of service needed to ensure the ultimate success of an international professional cycling race.  Not to brag, but we’ve done it for years.  From the historic club races in the early 1900’s, through the Coors Classic days in the 1970’s, to all five years of the Amgen Tour of California—Santa Rosa has a rich cycling history and proven host city success.

We know you know this, but just to recap, here’s a summary of the support the City of Santa Rosa will provide (with the backing of the Chamber, cycling clubs, sponsors, and community at large, of course):
