Santa Rosa is unique in that our creeks are open and accessible to residents for walking, cycling and enjoyment.  Each resident shares in the responsibility to protect our local creeks—many of which provide habitat for endangered species.  There are over 90 miles of creeks in Santa Rosa as well as a multitude of trails offering opportunities to get close to nature.  No matter where you are in Santa Rosa you are close of a creek.

To learn how you can do your part to help protect our local creeks, listen to this short informative interview with Associate Civil Engineer, Heaven Hix.  The interviewed aired live on the Krush Radios’ Community Minute Program on January 24, 2011.  Also, to learn more about opportunities to volunteer and get involved, please visit the Creek Stewardship Program website.
