Santa Rosa Ranked #4 as "Best Green Places to Live" by Country Home Magazine.

Santa Rosa is getting a reputation for being one of the nation's greenest cities.  The most recent recognition was bestowed by Country Home Magazine in their April issue.  The criteria used by the magazine was based on our energy policies, green power, green building standards, and availability of fresh locally grown food.  Last year, Santa Rosa was ranked #137 in the nation, but our ongoing commitment to sustainability and education gave us the #4 spot this year.

Several months ago, Popular Mechanics ranked Santa Rosa as #23 in the list of "America's 50 Greenest Cities" and featured the Geysers project in their magazine.
