A lecture on "Rainwater Harvesting Programs, Lawn Removal & Incentives" will be presented by Randy Barron, Water Conservation Technician for the City of Santa Rosa. Randy will discuss a range of programs which local residents can employ to conserve that precious resource - water.  Come learn about how you can implement water saving ideas at your home.  Cost:  $10, or join "Friends" and attend free.  Seating is limited, call for reservations at 707-524-5445. Tuesday, September 14, 7-8pm
A lecture on "Container Gardening and Using Bulbs" will be presented by Susan Hatch, Manager, King's Nursery. Susan is lead designer of the flower containers and baskets featured at King's.  She will teach you how to combine different plants and bulbs to create one-of-a-kind arrangements. Fall Color with Ornamental Grasses:  You are invited to a lecture by Bob Hornback, owner of Muchas Grasses in Occidental, He’ll show you how much color ornamental grasses can bring to your garden!  Bob will teach you how to select and enjoy a wide range of beautiful varieties, which will be available for sale after his presentation. Lecture will be held in Carriage House at Luther Burbank Home & Gardens, a Registered National, State & City Historic Landmark. Seating is limited.
