Each year the Santa Rosa City Council recognizes individuals, businesses, and organizations who volunteer their time and energies contributing to the quality of life in Santa Rosa at the annual "City Merit Awards" program. The Merit Awards covers 5 catagories:
1. Youth Services
2. Community Services
3. Neighborhood Enrichment
4. Community Enrichment
5. Cultural Enrichment
