The City of Santa Rosa Recreation, Parks & Community Services in conjunction with the National Arts Program is proud to announce the 9th Annual National Arts Program Exhibition and Competition in Santa Rosa. This program provides local artists with a forum to showcase their artistic accomplishments and encourages artistic growth with scholarships and awards.

The Call to Artists is open to all City of Santa Rosa residents, city employees and relatives of city employees. Registration forms are now available at the Finley and Steele Lane Community Centers or online, and the deadline for submission is January 13, 2012. Participation will be limited to the first 200 entries.

The Exhibition will take place from February 6 – March 30, 2012 with an Awards Ceremony and Reception on Sunday, February 26, from 4-6pm at the Finley Community Center.

We encourage artists of all ages, backgrounds and levels of talent to enter. Cash awards and continuing education scholarships, totaling over $5,000 will be awarded by age and classifications. Adult Awards, in three classifications: amateur, intermediate, and professional, will be 1st place- $300, 2nd place - $200, and 3rd place -$100. Youth Awards, in two classifications: ages12 and under, and Teen (13-18), will be 1st place - $75, 2nd place- $50, 3rd place - $25. In addition, a best of show award of $300 and scholarships for continuing education will be awarded; and everyone receives a Certificate of Participation.
