2011 Fall and Winter City Closures
City Hall, City Hall Annex and the Municipal Services Center Administrative offices will be closed for business during the weeks of November 21-25 and December 26-30, 2011. The closures are due to staff participating in mandatory, unpaid furloughs (Mandatory Time Off) as part of the budget reduction strategy. (New Year’s Day holiday will be observed on 1/2/12.)
PLEASE NOTE: Emergency Services for Police and Fire will not be affected.
Some City Departments will be operating as usual. They are:
Parking Division – Parking facilities will be open and meters will be in operation and enforced. Administrative offices are closed.
Utilities – Field Services will maintain reduced staffing. Laguna Treatment Plant will be in operation. To start water service or report water or sewer emergencies during this period, please call (707) 543-3805. Payments will be processed and credited during this time as well. Administration offices are closed.
Transportation & Public Works – Street and Electrical Divisions will maintain minimum staffing during this period. Bus service will run on schedule (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day are normal holiday closures). Administrative offices are closed.
Fire – Emergency response services will be open. Administrative offices and Fire Prevention offices are closed.
Police – Patrol services will not be affected. Police Records will continue to remain open during its regular hours, Monday – Thursday, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Records will be closed on Friday, November 25 and Friday, December 30. Administrative offices are closed.
Recreation, Parks & Community Services – Each facility will have a specific schedule:
Finley Community Center
Thanksgiving Week:
• Monday, 11/21 and Tuesday, 11/22, 8am - 7pm (front desk open and classes in session)
• Wednesday, 11/23, 8am - 3pm (front desk open and classes in session)
• Closed Thursday, 11/24 and Friday, 11/25
Christmas Week:
• Closed Monday, Christmas Day holiday
• Tuesday, 12/27, 8am - 5pm (front desk open, classes and winter camp in session)
• Wednesday, 12/28 through Sunday, Jan 1, New Year’s Day. Front desk closed
• Wednesday, 12/28 through Friday, 12/30, classes and winter camp in session
Finley Aquatics Center
Thanksgiving Week:
• Monday, 11/21 through Wednesday, 11/23, 6am - 8pm
• Closed Thursday and Friday, 11/24 and 11/25
Christmas Week:
• Closed Christmas Day, Sunday, 12/25
