Santa Rosa's City Council includes seven members elected from the City at large. The Mayor is Susan Gorin, the Vice Mayor is Gary Wysocky, and the council members include Jane Bender, Veronica Jacobi, Ernesto Olivares, John Sawyer, and Marsha Vas Dupre.
Meet the City Council
The City Council is supported by staff headed by Wayne Goldberg, Interim City Manager as of January 19, 2010, and Caroline Fowler, City Attorney as of July 20, 2008. The City employs over 1,000 people organized into fourteen Departments.
Regular meetings of the City Council are usually held each Tuesday (there is no City Council meeting on a Tuesday that follows a legal holiday OR on the fourth Tuesday of the month) at City Hall, 100 Santa Rosa Avenue. The public portions of regular meetings which are held in the Council Chambers at City Hall generally begin at 4:00 p.m. Public study session(s) and closed session(s) portions of regular meetings, when held, are usually held in Room 10, City Hall earlier in the afternoon. The public is welcome to attend and participate in all public sessions of the Council. Copies of the full staff reports are also available on-line with the current agenda.
The portions of regular Council meetings held in the Council Chambers are televised live on City View on Channel 70 OR 28, depending on where you live in Santa Rosa, and are rebroadcast on Wednesdays beginning at 6:30 p.m., and on Saturdays beginning at 11:00 a.m.
