RESOLUTION NO. 24067
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA ACCEPTING BID AND AWARDING CONTRACT NO. 99-027 TO HANFORD COMPANY FOR BRUSH CREEK RESTORATION
WHEREAS, bids have been invited for the performance of work for the City of Santa Rosa, generally described as Brush Creek Restoration, Contract Number 99-027; and
WHEREAS, bids were received and opened in accordance with law and the City Engineer has made her report thereon; and
WHEREAS, the Council has considered the report of the City Engineer and as a result has concluded that the bid of Hanford Company, 23195 Maffei Road, Sonoma, California was the lowest responsible bid received.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council accepts the bid of Hanford Company in the amount of $423,502 and awards Contract Number 99-027 to Hanford Company for the amount of $423,502 for base bid plus Alternate A plus Alternate Cand for performance in accordance with plans and specifications on file in the office of the City Engineer.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council authorizes the Mayor to execute the contract and the Director of Administrative Services to pay all proper claims for performance of the contract out of Account Number 8126.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in accordance with City Council Policy No. 100-07, "Authorization of Contract Change Orders on Public Works Contracts," the Council approves a total authorized contract amount of $487,027.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council authorizes the Director of Administrative Services to appropriate $401,466 to Account No. 8126, Brush Creek Restoration with the source of funds being Account No. 5002, Storm Water Creek Restoration Projects.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council authorizes the Director of Administrative Services to appropriate $80,779 to Account No. 8126 with the source of funds being the various outside funding sources.
