Establishing salary and other compensation and benefits for the City Manager

ORDINANCE NO. 3727

ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA ESTABLISHING SALARY AND OTHER COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS FOR THE CITY MANAGER

THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1.  Effective July 17, 2005, salary compensation shall be paid to the City Manager at the rate of $15,105 per month.

Section 2.  The City Manager's benefits shall be as provided in the contract between the City of Santa Rosa and the City Manager dated December 14, 2004. The City Manager shall be compensated in accordance with established payroll practices of the City.

Section 3.  Effective July 17, 2005, the City will continue to contribute an amount equal to three and one-half percent (3.5 %) of the City Manager's salary per pay period into a Deferred Compensation Program offered by the City for all Management employees.

Section 4.  Effective July 17, 2005, the City Manager's contribution for the cost of the City's 3%@60 retirement plan will cease.

Section 5Severability. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or word of this ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid and/or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance.

Section 6Effective Date. This ordinance, following its adoption and publication, shall become effective on July 17, 2005.
