Establishing salary and other compensation and benefits for the City Manager

ORDINANCE NO. 3698

ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA ESTABLISHING SALARY AND OTHER COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS FOR THE CITY MANAGER

THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ROSA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1.  Effective January 14, 2005, salary compensation shall be paid to the City Manager at the rate of $14,875 per month, which is the amount provided in Ordinance No. 3614 adopted July 8, 2003.  Each January 1st, the City Manager's compensation shall change by the percentage of the annual salary adjustment, if any, paid to City's executive management in the current fiscal year, unless the Council fixes some different amount for the City Manager in advance of January 1st.  Effective January 14, 2005, the City will contribute an amount equal to three and one-half percent (3.5%) of the City Manager's salary per pay period into a Deferred Compensation Program offered by the City for all Management employees.

Section 2.  The City Manager's benefits shall be as provided in the contract between the City of Santa Rosa and the City Manager dated December 14, 2004, a copy of which is attached hereto.  The City Manager shall be compensated in accordance with the established payroll practices of the City. 

Section 3.  This ordinance shall take effect on the 31st day following its adoption.
