Item No. 4
ENFORCEABLE OBLIGATION PAYMENT SCHEDULE |
As part of the 2011-12 State budget bill, the California Legislature enacted, and the Governor has signed, companion bills AB 1X 26 and AB 1X 27, requiring that each redevelopment agency be dissolved unless the community that created it enacts an ordinance to participate in the Voluntary Alternative Redevelopment Program (VARP). On August 17, 2011, the California Supreme Court issued an order, modifying its partial stay of AB 1X 26-27 issued on August 11, 2011, which clarified that the provisions of AB 1X 26 that require an agency to adopt an Enforceable Obligation Payment Schedule (EOPS) are not stayed and all agencies should adopt an EOPS by August 27, 2011. In order to comply with California Health and Safety Code Section 34169, an EOPS has been prepared identifying payments the Agency anticipates through December 31, 2011.
Moved by Ms. Lemke, seconded by Mr. Burke, carried 3-0-0-2 (Members Harris and Olsen absent), to adopt and waive the reading of the text as follows:
RESOLUTION NO. 1638 ENTITLED: RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF SANTA ROSA APPROVING AND ADOPTING AN ENFORCEABLE OBLIGATION PAYMENT SCHEDULE PURSUANT TO AB 1X 26 |
|
