REGULAR MEETING MINUTES

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 2009

1. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL

Chair Much called the regular meeting of the Cultural Heritage Board to order at 3:30 p.m. on this day of Wednesday, November 4, 2009.

2. PUBLIC APPEARANCES – None

3. STATEMENT OF ABSTENTIONS BY BOARDMEMBERS – None

4. REPORT ITEM – Downtown Station Area Specific Plan Zoning and Design Guidelines Consistency Amendments

City Planners Heather Hines and Jessica Jones gave a presentation regarding proposed amendments to the Zoning Code and Design Guidelines intended to implement the vision of the DSASP. Supervising Planner Clare Hartman was present and answered questions.

5. REPORT ITEM – General Plan 2035 Update

Ms. Hines reported on the City Council’s adoption yesterday of the General Plan 2035, with emphasis on the issues of special interest to the Cultural Heritage Board.

6. BOARDMEMEMBERS’ REPORTS

The Boardmembers made announcements and reported on items of interest to the Board.

7. DEPARTMENT REPORT

Ms. Hines reported on items of interest to the Board.

8. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

The Cultural Heritage Board minutes of June 17, 2009 were approved as submitted.

9. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

The Cultural Heritage Board minutes of October 7, 2009 were approved as submitted.

10. ADJOURNMENT

There being no further business before the Cultural Heritage Board, Chair Much adjourned the regular meeting at 5:19 p.m. to the regular meeting of Wednesday, December 2, 2009.
