CHAIR REPORT
Sally reported on the Santa Rosa eConnect event. Nancy asked if she could report, because she had to leave early. She said that she had an emergency preparedness meeting that went well and is going to set up some others. She also distributed the Chinese New Year flyer for their event on Feb 25.
Nancy Adams from Public Works said she is working with a consultant on the Mendocino Avenue project. There is a public meeting on Thursday, February 23, where the mitigated Negative Declaration will be shared with the community from 6:30-8:30 at Steele Lane Elementary School.
Sally suggested the CAB members look at the Latinoserviceproviders.com website for information on the services available to our Latino population.
NEIGHBORHOOD LEADERS
ACTION: List the first 30 minutes on each CAB agenda for Neighborhood Leaders.
ACTION: Send email to Neighborhood Leaders letting them know about this opportunity.
RESTRUCTURING
Pat explained that the Executive Committee met with Councilmember Pierce and are recommending that the CAB be restructured. The thought would be to have a closer working relationship with council and would be more like "staff" to the council so the council could use the CAB for research. Lee Dibble and Pat then met to draw up proposed boundaries for 14 areas, rather than seven. The map was presented.
After discussion the group decided that they wanted a chance to look at the map and develop alternatives.
ACTION: Staff will send the map to all the CAB members.
ACTION: Send the initial information presented to CAB by City Council to all members.
