Food Service Facility
As mandated within the Fat, Oil and Grease Program (FOG) all Restaurants, Fast Food Establishments, Caterers, Bakeries, Donut Shops, Halls and Auditoriums with kitchens, and any other businesses that do commercial cooking or food preparation are required to be permitted with a Non-Residential Food Service Discharge Permit.

Dentists are required to be permitted with a Dental Facilities Permit.

Dry Cleaning Plants both with and without laundry service are required to be permitted with a Dry Cleaner Discharge Permit.

Printer and photographic businesses that have traditional non-digital film or plate processing and/or press cleaning are required to be permitted with a Printer / Photo Discharge Permit.

Vehicular Related Services
Automotive, Aircraft, Motorcycle, Boat, Truck, or Tractor: Auto Repair, Auto Body Repair, Radiator Shops, Car Washing, Detailing and Painting and other vehicle service facilities are required to be permitted with a Vehicular Related Services Discharge Permit.

Laboratories and facilities with x-ray equipment are required to be permitted with a Medical/ X-ray/ Laboratories discharge permit

General Non-Residential Waste Discharge Permit
General Non-Residential Waste Discharge Permits are also applicable to businesses that have a wet process discharge or have been identified by the Environmental Compliance Section to be potential dischargers of regulated effluent are required to be permitted with a Non-Residential General Waste Discharge Permit.
Some examples of the specific business types that are required to be permitted with a general waste discharge permit include custom crush and wine making operations, laundry services (not fitting the description of an SIU), Machine Shops (with parts cleaning and/or tumbling).
