Tennis Programs

Recreation & Parks works closely with the United States Tennis Association/Northern California and Sonoma County Junior Tennis Association to offer you a great variety of tennis programs for all ages and abilities. All tennis lessons are held at Galvin Park and are under the supervision of tennis pro Jason Beard.

We offer the following programs:

Jason Beard- Head Tennis Pro

A native of Sebastopol, Jason Beard has been teaching for the Rec & Parks department for the past five years and teaching in Sonoma County for over thirteen years. Prior to coming to Rec & Parks, Jason played for the Santa Rosa Junior College team where he was awarded the Conference Champion Award and the Conference MVP. Jason then went on to play Division 1 Tennis for the UC Santa Barbara team. Jason Continues to play competitive tennis in the aread and enjoys teaching others to play the game he loves.
