Come join this program, which runs during Santa Rosa City School’s summer break, open to youth in grades 1-7 in the upcoming 2017-18 school year. The program is open to Santa Rosa residents only and children must meet the grade requirements listed above. (Please bring verification, such as a current report card, showing your child is currently enrolled in a Santa Rosa school). Camp staff plan a different theme each week incorporating games, sports and fitness, crafts, special events and field trips into the weekly schedules. Exciting presentations and activities are delivered by a variety of community organizations with fun topics like animal demonstrations, environmental education, safety and Creek Stewardship. Youth also participate in classroom academics such as math, science, social studies, art, writing and reading so they stay fresh and ready for the school year. The USDA Summer Food Service program offers free breakfast and lunch for all youth under 18 at each Recreation Sensation school site from 8:30-9:00am and from 11:30am-12:30pm.
