ANIMAL BARN ASSISTANT
Are you an animal lover? The Animal Barn Assistant in Howarth Park is the perfect Work Experience position for you. Assist the barn attendant in the feeding, grooming and care of the barnyard animals; inform and show the animals to the public; assist with the special events; collect tickets and do general upkeep of the facility. |

AMUSEMENT AREA ASSISTANT
Assist the ride operators and cashiers with the amusement rides and/or concession stand. Collect tickets, assist customers on and off the rides, serve patrons food and drinks, and general upkeep of facilities.

LAKE RALPHINE
BOATHOUSE ASSISTANT
Assist lifeguards and cashiers with daily boathouse operation. Duties may include assisting customers in and out of boats, enforcing rules, assisting with boating classes and general maintenance of the facility and equipment. |
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must be at least 13 years of age by June 7th, (no exceptions) and able to work well with the public.
Requirements: Must volunteer a minimum of two weeks (weeks do not need to be scheduled consecutively), and attend the scheduled training sessions.
Schedule: Howarth Park is staffed Saturday through Thurday, 10:00 AM - 5:45 PM, and the work experience participants are scheduled 3-5 days out of each week, depending on which program they volunteer in. We hope that our volunteers will work both Saturday and Sunday, as those are our busiest days of the week, but a participant may take either Saturday or Sunday off, if needed.
Training: The training for Howarth Park Work Experience participants will be Wednesday, June 2, 2010, from 10 AM - Noon.
