When is the Spouting Water Orchard On?
The Spouting Water Orchard runs Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend from 11 AM to 7 PM (hours subject to change), 15 minutes on/15 minutes off, unless it is raining, under 70 degrees, or it was vandalized and broken.
When does the Animal Barn open?
The Animal Barn is open during our summer season (when we are open 6 days a week so the animals get lots of love and attention!). This year our summer season starts on Saturday, June 5, 2010. We are open Saturday-Thursday from 11 AM - 5 PM.
When does the park open for the summer?
The rides open for the summer starting on Saturday, June 5, 2010. We are open Saturday-Thursday from 11 AM - 5 PM. We are not open Tuesday, June 1 - Friday, June 4 as we hold staff training during that time.
Where are the restrooms?
At the snackbar there are 2 single-use restrooms. The first restroom at the snackbar is ADA accessible. There is a women's and men's restroom at the gazebo, near the Land of Imagination Playground. These restrooms are also ADA accessible. Additionally, there are 2 older restrooms in the park, one located above the softball field and one above the tennis courts. These are not ADA accessible.
Are adults free on the rides?
On the train, everyone pays EXCEPT children 12 months or younger. On the carousel, all children pay, regardless of age, but one parent is free to stand next to each child.
Do you have wristbands for the rides?
Our birthday party packages come with a wristband for unlimited Kland rides (train, carousel, jumphouse, and animal barn, depending on what rides are open that day). Wristbands are NOT available for purchase, other than with a birthday party or picnic reservation.
When is Movie in the Park?
Movie in the Park is Fridays, August 13 - September 17. We choose later in the season as the weather is warmer and it gets darker sooner so we can start the movie earlier. More information coming soon.
How old do you have to be to ride the ponies?
There is NO minimum age to ride the ponies. Anyone can ride the ponies - there is only a MAXIMUM weight limit for the ponies. Riders must be under 120 lbs.
When is the last time Lake Ralphine was stocked?
We do not stock the Lake Ralphine. The California Department of Fish and Game stocks the lake and they do not tell us when they are coming. You can check with them for more information about stocking the lake.
What type of boats are allowed on Lake Ralphine?
Boats must be under 20 feet in length. Only electric motors are allowed on the lake, no gasoline motors, please! Belly Boats ARE allowed on the lake. You can unload
Is Howarth Park part of Spring Lake?
No - Howarth Park is a city park, owned and operated by the City of Santa Rosa. Spring Lake is a Sonoma County Park, owned by the county and operated by park rangers. Howarth Park does not have park rangers.
Are metal detectors allowed at Howarth Park?
Yes, you are allowed to use a metal detector, as long as you are not doing any damage to the property (i.e. digging holes, cutting brush, etc). We ask that you are conscientious of other patrons and leave the area as you found it.
