What is the supervision ratio?
Each group of 15 to 17 campers is supervised by one counselor, one counselor aide, and 2-3 CIT's (counselors-in-training).

What is the age range of your staff?
Our counselors are college age students and our counselor aides are high school age.

Will my child be with kids his/her own age?
Yes!  Tribes/Groups are divided by age so that the activities can be tailored accordingly.

Does your staff receive training?
All of our staff and volunteers attend a one week inservice training program to learn how to lead the various activities in a fun and safe manner.

Do the camps fill up fast?
Camp Wa-Tam does!  Due to Wa-Tam's popularity and limited space, you will only be able to register for a maximum of four sessions until June, 2008.  Please sign-up early if you have a specific week in mind!  Registration begins Jan 11.  To see this year's themes and dates, click here.

What does my child need to bring?

Can my 5-3/4 year old attend camp?
Only if they have completed a year of kindergarten.

Can my child be grouped with a friend?
In order for requests to be considered, BOTH campers must requesnt each other at the time of registration.  Groups are divided by age, so please be sure that the friends requesting one another are of similar age (by one year).  We strive to maintain a group size of between 15-17 and will not rearrange groups if this number is compromised.  We will try to accomodate all requests, however cannot guarantee placement.  Only requests made prior to the first day of camp will be considered.

Are scholarships available?
Scholarships are available for those who reside within the city limits of Santa Rosa.
