BARBARA WHITE-PERRY: DRAWING SONOMA

December 18, 2014 - February 17, 2015

Reception: Thursday, January 15, 5-7pm

Fifteen years ago Barbara White Perry began ink and vine-charcoal drawings of Sonoma Valley’s most captivating historic properties. She has documented structures and vistas lost to time, neglect or development, unique barns and buildings that few people have ever seen. In keeping with her vision, each of her drawings will be exhibited with a brief history of the property. Barbara grew up in St. Charles, Illinois and began painting and drawing at an early age. Architecture is more than her hobby, she studied architectural drafting and designed/built her vineyard home that won the Sonoma League’s Preservation Award.

SHERRI REED: OUT AND ABOUT

February 21 - April 16, 2015

Reception: Wednesday, February 25, 4-6 pm

I am very honored and excited to display my photography at the Steele Lane Community Center. Born and raised here in Santa Rosa, it hasn’t been until recently that I have taken my camera and walking shoes and started traversing our county. This helped me to see clearer, to savor life and capture the beauty that is all around us; which we so often overlook. I have met some amazing people and have had so many opportunities to document their lives. I know others have said this, but for me it is so true. I absolutely love photography, capturing moments that people can cherish. I would like my photography to be a feast for the eyes and nourishment for your soul.
