Arts Program! 

Arts and Culture programming for the City of Santa Rosa includes many exciting possibilities for artists and community members alike. Artists are encouraged to take advantage of numerous exhibition opportunities through the Art Exhibition Program, the National Arts Program, Art in Public Places Program and the Arts District. The community is invited to participate in art receptions, musical and theatrical performances, festivals and other events. Here are some of the programs we offer:

Registration Deadline Extended!

Registration extended to January 14, 2015. Register now to be included in the 12th Annual National Arts Program Exhibition!  Santa Rosa Recreation & Parks in conjunction with the National Arts Program is proud to present our annual National Arts Program Exhibition and Competition, providing local artists of all ages with a forum to showcase their artistic accomplishments.

This Call for Artists is open to all City of Santa Rosa residents, city employees and relatives of city employees. Registration forms are available at the Finley and Steele Lane Community Centers or online. Register soon at no cost, for a chance to win cash prizes and scholarships. Participation will be limited to the first 200 entries.

Special Sculpture Exhibition

Through May, 2015

Join us as we help Paradise Ridge Winery salute its 20th anniversary with 20 works of art that celebrate sculpture. The exhibition, presented by the Voigt Family Sculpture Foundation, includes an exciting group of emerging artists along with a core group of established artists. City of Santa Rosa’s Art in Public Places Program Awarded NEA Grant

The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) announces 80 Our Town grant awards totaling $4.995 million and reaching 44 states and the District of Columbia.  The City of Santa Rosa’s Arts Program is one of the grantees and will receive $50,000 to fund the development of a Public Art Master Plan. Street Performer  


In 2010, the Santa Rosa City Council approved a new ordinance permitting Street Performers in Santa Rosa!

The ordinance is now in effect. Permit applications are available online and at the Finley Community Center. Permits are free, and you must apply in person at the Finley Community Center with a photo ID.
