Hammerhead Water Polo is a year round program that provides continual water polo training and competition opportunities to a variety of different age groups and skill levels. The co-ed team is designed to increase the playing, training, and growth opportunities for water polo athletes in the Sonoma County area by providing ample competition opportunities along with local coaching and athlete development training and education. Through training and competition, coaches and athletes learn valuable life lessons, such as goal setting, team work, dedication, discipline, and the value of community involvement all while having fun!
This class takes place in 3.5 - 4.5 feet of water and is designed for the participant who has some essential water skills. This class will teach and reinforce the skills used in water polo, the importance of teamwork and encourage the development of hand-eye coordination. It's recommended that kids enrolled in this class be able to swim 25 yards without aide or rest.

Want to learn something new that's not school work? Wish you had a reason to be in the pool? This program at the Finley Aquatic Center introduces water polo team skills and game concepts to youth ages 10+ years old and provides opportunities to the participants to make new friends, set goals, and take part in a developmental sports program. This is a co-ed recreational program dedicated to the fundamentals of water polo, rules and fun games, with a coach on deck. The focus of this program will be water polo skill development and playing in real scrimmages and tournaments. It is recommended that enrolled participants be able to swim at least 50 yds without rest and tread water for 2 minutes.

Looking for an alternative to the gym or need a break from swimming the same laps day after day? This program offers both a great workout four days a week plus the opportunity to learn the game of water polo. This co-ed monthly, or drop-in water polo program provides a fun workout in a team environment that is dedicated to teaching the fundamentals of water polo, rules and offers the opportunity to compete if you desire to do so. Each practice includes warm-up, drills, game education and scrimmages each night of the week with quality refereeing.
