The Recreation and Parks Department offers year-round recreation programs and special events to meet the interests and needs of children, teens, adults, and seniors with disabilities. Programs are designed to encourage socialization, and overall well-being as well as to promote fun and enjoyment. 

Adventure Days

 Adventure Days

Adventure days are offered one Saturday a month, September through May. Activities are varied and can include arts and crafts, games and social time. These activities are Wheelchair accessible.  Bring a lunch; beverages are provided.
FEE: $10.00 (Pre-registration is required.)
10:00am to 1:30pm, Steele Lane Community Center

 
Differently Abled Adults Dances
 DAA Dances Becoming Independent  sponsors a dance on the second Monday of every month (unless otherwise noted). A DJ provides music for dancing and soft drinks are available for purchase.  Participants must have a current I.D. and emergency phone number for admission.  Wheelchair accessible.
FEE: $5.00 per person

Youth Summer Camps
Camp Kennedy

Kamp Kennedy
This day camp is for children & teens with developmental disabilities. Campers will enjoy boating, crafts, songs, story time, games & outdoor cooking.
Age: 6 - 18

Length: 4 Days

Camp Chaos UCP Camp Kaos
United Cerebral Palsy of the North Bay hosts this thrilling day camp at Howarth Park! Fun camp activities include arts & crafts, music, adapted sports, games, train rides & more!
Age: 6 - 13
Price: $280-$290
Length: 5 Days
