Rural Cemetery Preservation Fund

The work of preserving and maintaining the Cemetery is performed by volunteers. The Recreation & Parks Department provides specialized assistance in such areas as spraying and tree removal. The City allots a limited fund for equipment and miscellaneous expenses. Tax-free donations and funds raised by special events are deposited in an account at the Community Foundation Sonoma County. Our aim is to accumulate a fund sufficient to support a part-time mainenance worker.

A group of individuals designated as “Friends of the Rural Cemetery” has joined us in our desire to preserve the Cemetery. These Friends have pledged to make an annual contribution to help us meet our objective. All contributions are deposited in the fund mentioned above.
