Donate to the Learn to Swim Scholarship Program

Help us help Santa Rosa youth learn how to swim!

With the abundance of pools, lakes, rivers, creeks and other waterways that exist in Sonoma County, we feel it vital to ensure that every child growing up in our community knows how to swim. Our scholarship program helps families in need afford to participate in youth swim lessons.  Funds for this program are contributed through donations from the community and two annual fundraising events put on by Recreation & Parks staff -- the Scholarship Golf Tournament and the St. Patrick's Day 5K.

For families who qualify, scholarship applications are accepted for swim lessons for children. The scholarship amount granted is $28 per child (swim lessons cost $48 and scholarship recipients pay the remaining difference). Three children per family may receive a scholarship.

If you would like to donate to the Scholarship Program, complete the form fields below. Your donation is tax deductible and our tax ID number is: 94-6000428.
