Training Tower 

The Division of Training provides training and proficiency testing in various areas such as fire suppression, emergency medical care, infection control, hazardous materials response, technical rescue, fire prevention and fire code enforcement.

The Division of Training is also responsible for the development and implementation of health and safety programs, including compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.

The Division of Training has management oversight for the Hazardous Materials Response Team and the Swift Water Rescue Team. City-Wide emergency preparedness is also supported as needed by the Training Division.

The Division of Training maintains the Fire Training Center which is a regional training facility. Commonly referred to as the "Tower", this facility has a seven story training tower, confined space underground props, hazardous materials above ground storage tanks, a rail car, pump testing pit, auto extrication area, and classroom facilities.
