The Revenue Division provides billing and collection services for City water and sewer utilities, City taxes, parking citations and miscellaneous receivables, totaling approximately $74 million per year. The Division is divided into four sections:
The Administration section provides overall direction and planning, management of the computer applications, and clerical support.
The Utility Billing Operations section provides 52,000 utility customers with new account service, monthly billing, annual account audit, leak adjustment program and billing inquiries.
The Utility Billing Field & Collections section consists of two work units. The Field unit read utility water meters and provides field service work. The Collections unit collects on delinquent utility accounts.
The Revenue & Collections section provides payment processing of parking citations, billing and collection of miscellaneous receivables, collection of various taxes (Utility Users, Transient Occupancy, Business, Real Property Transfer, Property, Sales, etc), Assessmentss and Franchise fees, daily remittance processing and an indoor payment and information center.
