What Information The City of Santa Rosa Collects and Why
The City’s goal in collecting personal information is to provide visitors the most personalized and effective service possible. Our goal is to protect online information with the same diligence that we protect information obtained through other means.
The City of Santa Rosa tracks the number of visits to each of our Web pages. The City of Santa Rosa’s Online Payment Solution uses cookies. Generally speaking, cookies help Web sites to keep track of your preferences and to recognize return visitors. Who Do We Share Your Information With?
The City of Santa Rosa does not sell or disclose any personal identifiable information to any third party unless it is necessary to provide you with a requested service or as may be required by law. For example, if a customer registers for online bill payments, the customers personal information is shared with a third party vendor so that they are able to process the electronic payment. The third party vendor is contractually prohibited from sharing the information. Only under these types of circumstances, or those where public information laws apply, or where sharing information is absolutely essential to provide you with a requested service, would the City share your information with a third party.
