Southwest Cleanup
On June 13, 2009, NRP and Code Enforcement, in collaboration with Roseland area community groups, St. Joseph's Health System, and North Bay Recycling, held their annual Roseland Cleanup Day. It was another successful event, with 19.66 tons of garbage collected, as well as 6.54 tons of metal, 2.71 tons of recyclable wood and approximately 40 tires. The event is held each spring for the area residents and is one of many activities that NRP sponsors to improve the quality of life in the target neighborhood.
Graffiti Abatement
On May 30, 2009, members from NRP joined forces with volunteers from Target, Roseland Accelerated Middle School and local residents at the corner of Dutton and Funston to combat graffiti. The project leads were local artists Laura Hoffman and Fred Vedder. The theme of this mural is music and how music can bring a community together. The fence is 128 feet long and had a history of gang graffiti. There have been several murals done along Dutton Ave over the past couple of years, with one slated to be done in August 2009.

El Día De Los Niños, El Día De Los Libros
On April 26, 2008, NRP teamed up with the Sonoma County Library in Santa Rosa to promote literacy to children in the NRP neighborhoods. This year, both the downtown branch and the west branch held events. The children participated in reading circles and received free books. There were also crafts, snacks and live entertainment.
Latino Business Conference
On September 7, 2008, NRP held a Business Conference at the Wells Fargo Center to educate the Latino residents how to start a business and buy a home in today's market. Approximately 30 vendors were on hand to hand out information and share experiences about their small business.
