Community Improvement Grants

Building a Great Community Together

Applications Due July 1st, 2012

Do you have a great idea for your street, your block, your neighborhood or your community?

The Community Advisory Board (CAB) can help you bring your ideas to life with support from the Community Improvement Grant Program.

Community Improvement Grants are available annually and help fund neighborhood-based projects. Each grant applicant is invited to present his/her proposal to the Community Advisory Board who then makes recommendations for funding to the City Council. Grants of up to $1,000 are awarded and must come from groups representing the district in which they operate. Examples of past grant recipients include the Bennett Valley Vision Birdhouse Project, Greater West End Walking Tour, Thanksgiving Lutheran Community Garden, Roseland Youth Center Tennis Program, Poppy Creek Pocket Park, and the Santa Rosa Tool Library.

Each of the seven areas of Santa Rosa receives funding from the City Council for a project within the area to benefit the community. A great community begins with you and your neighbors. By bringing people together for a neighborhood project, you are helping to strengthen the foundation of our entire community.
