City Administration | Mission: Responsible for the overall management and administration of the City of Santa Rosa, based upon the City Charter and the policy direction provided by the City Council.
City Attorney | Mission: The City Attorney’s Office is committed to providing the highest-quality legal services and support for elected City officials, departments, boards and commissions, and to defend the City and its employees in litigation and claims.
Community Development | Mission: We strive to ensure that the City’s physical development achieves the highest quality, safety and level of improvement, while complementing and strengthening existing neighborhoods and business areas.
Economic Development & Housing | Mission: To facilitate a positive business climate and encourage the development of existing and emerging industry clusters; effectively manage the community’s parking assets; revitalize blighted and economically disadvantaged areas; and develop and administer a variety of affordable housing programs.
Finance | Mission: As the fiscal steward of the City’s resources the Finance Department provides excellent customer service, as well as ethical oversight and management of public funds.
Fire | Mission: Provide for the safety and welfare of the public through preservation of life, property, and the environment. We fully recognize that the community is the reason for our presence. We value the faith and trust of the community and continually work to deserve that confidence through our attitude, conduct, and accomplishments. Lives are more valuable than property.
Human Resources | Mission: To serve our community by attracting and retaining highly qualified employees and creating a work environment that supports their commitment to public service.
Information Technology | Mission: The Mission of the Information Technology Department is to develop, leverage and implement technology to make Government more efficient, transparent and responsive to Citizens. This also includes driving business efficiency through deployment of solutions at the mobile, desktop and core systems level.
Mayor & Council | Mission: Establish policy, approve programs, and oversee the financial affairs of the City to govern the City of Santa Rosa.
Parking | Mission: It is the mission of the Parking Division to provide safe, effective and affordable Parking services, while offering commuter alternatives to our community.
Recreation & Parks | Mission: Creating Community through People, Parks & Programs.
Police | Mission: We are committed to making Santa Rosa a safe place to live, work and play.
Transportation and Public Works | Mission: To be responsive and competent stewards of the public infrastructure and environment while maximizing safe, efficient, affordable, and sustainable transportation options for our community.
Transit | Mission: It is the mission of the Transit Division (Santa Rosa CityBus and Santa Rosa Paratransit) to always provide efficient, reliable and safe transportation services and programs to our customers; performing our jobs with passion and commitment toward our customers and our community.
Water | Mission: To protect public health by sustaining water resources, infrastructure and the environment.
