City Administration | Mission: Responsible for the overall management and administration of the City of Santa Rosa, based upon the City Charter and the policy direction provided by the City Council.
City Attorney | Mission: Provide correct, helpful, timely and cost-effective legal representation and advice to the City Council and City departments in matters of law pertaining to the functioning of the City.
Community Development | Mission: Assist the public in managing the development of the community in order to protect and preserve the quality of life, promote a sound economic base and appropriate design, and ensure safe construction, all in balance with the constraints of the City’s environment and resources.
Economic Development & Housing | Mission: To facilitate a positive business climate and encourage the development of existing and emerging industry clusters; effectively manage the community’s parking assets; revitalize blighted and economically disadvantaged areas; and develop and administer a variety of affordable housing programs.
Finance | Mission: Provide financial guidance to City Council and departments and manage the City’s financial operations. Also to provide a variety of services to other departments and to the public including Financial Planning, Budgeting and Purchasing.
Fire | Mission: Provide for the safety and welfare of the public through preservation of life, property, and the environment. We fully recognize that the community is the reason for our presence. We value the faith and trust of the community and continually work to deserve that confidence through our attitude, conduct, and accomplishments. Lives are more valuable than property.
Human Resources | Mission: To serve our community by attracting and retaining highly qualified employees and creating a work environment that supports their commitment to public service.
Information Technology | Mission: Develop, leverage and implement technology to make government more efficient, transparent and responsive to citizens. This also includes driving business efficiency and "Green IT" solutions at the desktop and core systems level.
Mayor & Council | Mission: Establish policy, approve programs, and oversee the financial affairs of the City to govern the City of Santa Rosa.
Parking | Mission: It is the mission of the Parking Division to provide safe, effective and affordable Parking services, while offering commuter alternatives to our community.
Recreation, Parks & Community Services | Mission: Creating Community through People, Parks & Programs.
Police | Mission: We are committed to making Santa Rosa a safe place to live, work and play.
Public Works | Mission: Every day we work to make Santa Rosa a better place to live by being responsive, competent stewards of the public infrastructure and environment for the benefit of our citizens and visitors.
Transit | Mission: It is the mission of the Transit Department to provide safe, effective and affordable Transit services, while offering commuter alternatives to our community.
Utilities | Mission: Our mission is to provide our community a safe, economical, dependable and environmentally-friendly water supply, wastewater collection system, and Subregional Wastewater Treatment and Reclamation System for our customers and our Subregional partners.
