Santa Rosa is currently experiencing historically dry weather conditions which has led to low and critical storage levels in our major reservoirs, which includes Lake Mendocino and Lake Sonoma. These reservoirs provide flows into the Russian River for our drinking water, agricultural irrigation, recreation, and habitat for fish and other species.
Utilities’ staff is working with our state, local, and regional partners, including the Sonoma County Water Agency and Sonoma-Marin Saving Water Partnership to remain up-to-date on local water supply conditions and proactively seek outreach opportunities that can mitigate the impacts of projected drought conditions this summer.
Note: The irrigation season has ended, so please remember to turn off all irrigation. For additional irrigation information call Turf-Time at 543-3466 or visit www.srcity.org/turftime. For more water saving tips, programs, and rebates visit www.srcity.org/wue.
