The City of Santa Rosa has over 50,000 water meters to measure the volume of water for billing purposes. Every connection to the City’s distribution system is metered, even temporary connections. The City’s meters range in size from 5/8” to 6” to accommodate households to industrial users. All of the water meters register in gallons so it is easy to determine the water use and if there is a leak.
