From OUTSIDE of Santa Rosa:
Take Highway 101 to Highway 12 East (towards Sonoma). The highway dead-ends at Farmer's Lane. Continue straight throught the light and across Farmer's Lane onto Hoen Avenue. Travel east on Hoen for 1.5 miles. Turn left onto Summerfield Road and continue for a half of a mile. The entrance to Howarth Park will be on the right side of the road, just past Sonoma Avenue. If you reach the tennis courts or Montgomery Drive, you have gone a little too far, so turn around and come back.
From INSIDE of Santa Rosa: Head towards the east side of town.
If you are taking either Hwy 12/Hoen Ave OR Sonoma Ave, you will be approaching the park from the south, which means you will make a left turn onto Summerfield Rd. The entrance to Howarth Park will be on the right side of the road, just past Sonoma Avenue.
If you are taking either Montgomery Dr or 4th Street/Sonoma Hwy, you will be approaching the park from the North. From Montgomery Dr, make a right turn onto Summerfield Rd. The entrance will be on the left side of the road, just past the tennis courts. From 4th Street/Sonoma Hwy, make a right turn onto Mission Blvd. At the second stop light on Mission, the road makes a 'Y'. Curve right onto Montogomery Dr. Once on Montgomery, the road makes a 'Y' at the next stop light. Curve/Turn left onto Summerfield Rd. The entrance will be on the left side of the road, just past the tennis courts.

Parking is available on Summerfield Road and you can enter the park from there.
Please observe all rules of the road. This includes:
- Park only in legal parking spaces (no parking in RED zones!)
- Only one car to a parking space
- Driving a safe speed in the parking lot (posted speed is 5 mph)
- Watch for pedestrians, small children, and pets
The Santa Rosa Police Department and Parking Enforcement do go through the parking lot on a regular basis several times throughout the day and do ticket vehicles NOT in compliance.
Motorcycle Parking: Located at the upper parking lot near the boathouse.
Handicap Parking: There are several handicap parking spaces, including one space near the snackbar, two near the boathouse, and several spaces by the gazebo/playground. Please be sure your permit is visible and valid!
Bus Parking: Located near the entrance/exit to the park. Enter the park, and drive up the hill and turn left to go back down past the softball field and tennis courts. Directly before the exit is the bus parking on the right side of the road.
Vehicles with Trailers (boats) Parking: The boathouse parking lot has 2 spaces for vehicles with trailers ONLY. You are welcome to unload your boat at the boathouse, but if your vehicle does not have a trailer, then you must move it to a legal parking space after unloading.
