AARP Driver Safety Program (55+) Defensive Driving classes are available to instruct seniors in safe driving techniques to compensate for the aging process for drivers age 55 and older. There is the initial 8- hour class and there are also 4 1/2 hour refresher class (available ONLY to those who have PREVIOUSLY taken the 8 hr class in the last 4 years). By law, Auto Insurance discounts are available upon completion of class (some insurance companies allow age 50 for the discount). Class must be repeated every 3 years. Due to the popularity of these classes, if you sign up and are not able to attend, please let us know. Please note, AARP members must bring their membership card to class for proof of lower enrollment fee. |

Fitness Blast (50+) For everyone from the beginner to the highly experienced exerciser. The emphasis is on providing a fun and effective 60 minute workout for all fitness levels. The instructor incorporates basic to intermediate techniques with a focus on proper form and offers more challenging options for experienced participants. Join this fun group and keep moving! |

Brain Gain (16+) Increase your memory and build your mind skills... it's amazing! Sixty and seventy five year old grandmothers and fourth grade grandchildren reported uplifted moods and increased reading skills in one short play session. Build the brain with movement games. Forget the hard stuff; we're here to have fun! Designed for all ages to help improve concentration, ability to focus, increase memory and improve math skills... Sound possible? All you have to do is play games. Some brainpower games use colored and filled bags, and raquet balls, which are available for purchase in class for about $15.00. These easy games will show astonishing benefits! |

Computer Classes (50+) Beginning Computer Classes over a three-week period. The 90-minute sessions focus on learning mouse skills, windows manipulations and basic word processing techniques. Intermediate Class to learn more word processing skills, Windows Explorer and file maintenance and computer maintenance. E-mail/Internet Computer Basics gives adults the fundamentals to access the Internet and learn to use email. *You must be proficient in mouse techniques and windows manipulations. Registration priority given to those who have successfully completed the "Beginning Computer Class". Advanced Email/Internet Class if you are looking to hone your internet and email skills this is a good class. NOTE: These classes are for PCs only - no MACs. |

Fundamentals of Drawing with Christian Learn the fundamental skills of drawing such as light and shade, figure drawing, landscape, perspective with Artist Christian Quintin. The ability to render what you draw in three dimensions and in a variety of medium will free you to create your own voice. This is an on-going class open to all levels and ages. A list of supplies will be provided with registration. |

Learn to Line Dance (50+) Line Dancing w/ Billie Darling ... enjoy the music and the movement - no partner necessary. Learn some basic line dance steps and prepare to join our on-going class of Advanced Beginners and Intermediate Dancers. |

Pilate As We Age (50+) Pilates is a wonderful exercise as we get better with age. We consciously breathe, develop core strength and awareness, improve balance and posture, and become more flexible. Enjoy this fun mat class for men and women while we work out the kinks and sore spots. We will locate core muscles and use them in practical ways. |

Pinochle Lessons
Learn to play the card game Pinochle during a 6-week class. At the end of the class, you will receive two $2.00 certificates used for drop-in fees at either a Monday, Wednesday or Friday Pinochle game. |

T'ai Chi Ch'uan for Seniors T'ai Chi Ch' uan is an ancient Chinese method of physical and spiritual cultivation and self defense. This slow movement and low impact practice is a gentle enjoyable way for anyone to promote both physical and mental health. As with many forms of exercise, benefits can include improving balance and coordination, improving cardiovascular fitness and blood pressure, and assisting in chronic pain. Using Poles for Mobility (50+) It is never too late to begin taking care of your body! We offer exercise classes in a variety of subjects, abilities and interests. Easy-to-learn techniques & gentle movements help you move confidently and navigate everyday obstacles to enhance your outdoor experience. This indoor class is for those with mild to moderate mobility challenges and Jayah will help you find the poles that fit you best People with MS, Parkinson's, arthritis or aging joints find these skills invaluable for maintaining their quality of life and this class is ideal for someone facing or recovering from a joint replacement.
