National Arts Program:  7th Annual National Art Exhibition and Competition
February 1-March 26
Reception: Sunday, February 21, 4-6pm at Finley Community Center

Santa Rosa is one of over 60 cities across the country that participates in The National Arts Program. Its purpose is to foster local artistic talent, reward creative accomplishments, and encourage a greater appreciation of art.  Artists, both amateur and professional, youth and adult, showcase their art in this exhibition. This year, the exhibition is taking places earlier than in past years. Come and see the talent of your fellow Santa Rosans!

Terry Birkenfeld: What Does "Living Inside of Time" Mean to You?
March 29-May 21
Reception: Wednesday, April 7, 4-6pm

Terry’s philosophy on life is: “follow your joy or you may die before you die”. This art show, previously shown in San Antonio, TX, is inspired by her book What Does “Living Inside of Time” Mean to You? The book contains 40 stories of people who have exemplified this philosophy.  Her art symbolically depicts those 40 stories, or “tapestries”, as well as 10 or more pieces from her own story.  Terry uses a variety of materials to create her artwork including oils, watercolors, and even recycled items. 100% of her art sales will be donated to the Becoming Independent organization in Santa Rosa.
