Transportation Permit Information
Single Trip Permits are typically processed by 6:00 PM if received before noon the same day. If permit requests are received after noon, then you should receive them by noon the next day. Beginning September 1, 2011, office staff will no longer be able to process permits on Fridays. Permits submitted after 2:00 p.m. on a Thursday cannot be guaranteed to be processed until Monday by 12:00 p.m. Permits submitted prior to 2:00 p.m. Thursday will be processed by the end of the day on Thursday. Moves can still occur on the Fridays. Current costs are $16 each. Annual Transportation Permits take about 3 weeks to process. You may view our Annual Transportation Permit Map or a list of streets with restricted commercial vehicle use per City Ordinance 3936. Current cost is $90. Additional routes may be obtained with a rider at a cost of $16.
The City of Santa Rosa offices will be closed November 21 through November 25 (Thanksgiving week), and December 26 through December 30 (between Christmas and New Year's). Transportation permits will not be processed during that time. Please note the closures and process the necessary permits ahead of time. Moves can still occur during these weeks.
