Domestic Violence / Sexual Assault
Investigations Team

In October 2011, the Santa Rosa Police Department Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Investigations Team re-located to the Family Justice Center Sonoma County (FJC) at 2755 Mendocino Avenue, Santa Rosa.  By co-locating law enforcement with victim-centered services and support at a secure facility, families and their children who are victims of domestic violence and sexual assault will be better served.  Some of the partners at the FJC include the Sonoma County District Attorney, YWCA, Verity, Council on Aging, Legal Assistance, and Catholic Charities.  Click Here for more information or to contact the FJC.

The Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault (DVSA) Team investigates:
  • Child sexual abuse and molestation.
  • Adult felony sexual assaults.
  • Incidents of domestic violence which extend beyond the scope of patrol officers' expertise.
  • Child felony physical abuse.
  • Missing/abducted children.
  • Homicides of children under 14 years of age.
  • Suicides of children under 18 years of age.

The DVSA Team registers convicted sex offenders living within City limits.  Information about registered sex offenders is available on California's Megan's Law website.

If you have questions for the DVSA Team, please call (707) 543-3595.
