Lobbyist Registration Form Instructions

Effective January 1, 2011, any person or entity acting as a lobbyist in the City of Santa Rosa shall register with the City Clerk by filing in writing the Lobbyist Registration Form and the Contract Lobbyist Client Information sheet and submit payment of fees.  These forms are to be filed within fifteen (15) days upon initial employment.

Please note that no person shall engage in any activity on behalf of a client as a lobbyist unless he or she has registered using these forms and listed such clients with the City Clerk. 

Any changes to the registration information after the annual registration period, including but not limited to the legislative or administrative action for the City of Santa Rosa as to which the lobbyist has been engaged, or the addition of loss of a client, require the filing of an amended registration with the City Clerk within fifteen (15) days of such changed information. 

Lobbyists are further required to file annual reports between January 1 and January 31 of each year or within fifteen (15) days of initial employment if that occurs after the annual filing period.

Fees: 

  • $94.00 for Initial Registration and/or Annual Registration
  • $30.00 for Amendment to registration

Required Forms:  Please print and complete each form.  They need to be returned to the City Clerk's Office, 100 Santa Rosa Avenue, Room 10, Santa Rosa, 95404 or they can be scanned and emailed to: tgriffin@srcity.org. Electronic filings are effective upon receipt by the City of the filing fee. The original signed declaration must be provided within ten (10) days of electronic transmission.
