PUBLIC INPUT NEEDED! Kawana Springs Community Park: Plan for the Future
The City of Santa Rosa Recreation & Parks Department is working with GSM Landscape Architecture, Inc. and David J. Powers & Associates to develop a Master Plan for Kawana Springs Community Park.This is a continuation of the community park planning process that began in the summer of 2015. The Master Plan will provide a long-range vision to guide development of this 19.2-acre park located in southeast Santa Rosa at Kawana Terrace and Meda Avenue. David J. Powers has been providing ongoing environmental analysis of the park area and GSM is working on the draft design plan. Residents are encouraged to participate in the planning process to help determine the future of the park!

Community Engagement Program
The Community Engagement Program provides support and resources to community and to other City departments in an effort to improve relationships between residents of Santa Rosa and the City of Santa Rosa. This includes:
Conducting door-to-door outreach in project neighborhoods
Creating fun and engaging methods to get information out to the public
Coordinating community meetings and workshops
Participating in community and neighborhood meetings
Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Budget Priorities - Town Hall Meetings and Other Outreach
Community Improvement Grant Program
Strengthening Public Involvement Process
Violence Prevention Partnership
The Partnership is a collaborative effort involving private citizens, government, local community-based organizations, schools, parents, the faith community, and local law enforcement to prevent violence in our community and provide support for our youth and families through partnerships.
